The Pollen

The bee pollen is found in every part of the world. Pollen is made by bees, but they just collected from flowers and is the raw material for the production of royal jelly.

Pollen is considered by many as the 'most perfect food on earth in terms of the full range of nutrients.

Each pollen grain is a biological unit that contains all that is necessities of life: vitamins, protein (consists of 35% protein - as much as beans and lentils - from five to seven times more protein in meat), twenty-three twenty-one known amino acids, carbohydrates, enzymes, coenzymes, sugars, growth hormones, minerals, trace elements (more than 25 trace elements make up 3.8 per cent of pollen, and include any trace element essential), lipids [most of the fats are essential fatty acids - 70 percent alpha-linolenic (omega 3), 3-4 per cent of the linoleic (omega 6), 16-17 percent monounsaturated and saturated]. ;
In the core of his cell, pollen contains the secret of life: DNA and RNA molecules that determine the function of all living cells.

Average composition per 100 grams: 60.5 grams water, 20g protein, 4.5 grams fat, 15 grams sugars, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, D, E, PP, K (practically all vitamins known, although B12 is present in low percentages), minerals (calcium, manganese, phosphorus, iron, sodium, potassium, aluminum, magnesium, copper), enzymes and coenzymes, pantothenic acid, nicotinic acid, thiamine, riboflavin, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), pigments, xanthophyll, carotene, and sterols.
The pollen is uniformly rich in carotenoids, bioflavonoids and phytosterols, but the exact profile varies according to source and plant growth conditions. However, beta-carotene, lycopene, beta-sitosterol, quercetin, the isoramnetina, rutin are always present in the pollen analysis.

I Bioflavonoids are a main cause of many health benefits of pollen. Bioflavonoids are a large class of phytoestrogens that are widely distributed in food and medicinal plants. The "basic skeleton of three rings" of all flavonoids consists of two benzene rings connected to a pyran ring. There are thousands of variations, based on components that are tied in place around the rings.
Epidemiological studies have shown that the higher the intake of bioflavonoids, the lower the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Many bioflavonoids are powerful antioxidants. Bioflavonoids lower cholesterol, stabilize and strengthen capillaries, reduce inflammation, fight free radicals and are antiviral, antibacterial and anticancer.
Quercetin is an antihistamine, anti-allergenic and asthma, and is therefore very useful in the treatment of ' asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchitis, sinusitis, colds, flu, and allergies.
Rutin tones the capillaries, helping varicose veins, venous insufficiency, hemorrhoids and hypertension.

Pollen therefore many properties, being: *
tonic, nourishing and invigorating - strengthens and nourishes the entire body. It 'used to give strength and endurance. Used by athletes to increase energy, strength and resistance to fatigue and effort muscle. Effective in combating fatigue, tiredness, exhaustion, depression. It can restore vitality and vigor - useful in convalescence and recovery after illness or surgery.
