L ' Summer is coming and many of us are leaving for the long-awaited holidays. Whether sea or mountains, here are some useful tips for tanning in natural health and beauty.
sun, hot baths, walks and outdoor activities: summer is coming, along with every opportunity to fully expose our skin to light. And 'well, however, not to be caught unprepared: the sun is good, but it is important to contain the possible harmful effects, which are real.
Here is what are the main foods and supplements to help you get the perfect tan and to protect the skin at the same time, countering the risk of developing sunburn.
Among the foods "friends" of tanning , carrots, tomatoes, melons, pumpkins and albiococche play a major role. It is in fact a plant rich in carotenoids and antioxidants that help the skin to defend against dangerous effects of solar radiation.
There are also numerous
specific supplements, in capsules or tablets, which support the defense capabilities and regeneration of the skin and that are fundamental in those who can not (food intolerance) or unwilling (on a whim?) Introduce fruit and Vegetable:
- vitamin A, or better yet its precursor, beta carotene, which avoids any risk of overdose (the body converts it into vitamin A as needed), protects against sunburn;
- Vitamin E, another fundamental valuable antioxidant for the skin;
- Vitamin C, that on one hand increases the production of melanin, on the other repairs and soothes damaged tissue from sunburn (not to mention all his other numerous benefits);
- selenium, an important mineral antioxidant balance of the skin;
- lycopene, valuable carotenoid content in tomato, of course, effective as a sunscreen;
- essential fatty acids omega 3 , of which is abundant in oily fish of the sea, which protect the integrity of cell membranes preserve the elasticity and firmness of the epidermis;
- coenzyme Q10, that has a key role in promoting cell repair in the skin.
Finally, it is even worth worrying about the welfare of hair : cystine, methionine, zinc, copper and biotin help to keep them healthy and shiny and more resistant to the insults of sun, salt and sand.
Although it is never too late and its benefits is also expressed in "ritardari," it is appropriate to plan a natural tan from as little as one or two months prior to exposure the sun, then going on to return to the city.
And if you've already burned? Nature can help here too.
